Q: Where is the Love?

A: California. And not just because of Hotel California, Or because the girls are unforgettable, or because of the little old lady from pasadena.... people please, those things are made up in those songs. You're so gullible. But really, I just got back from California and there are so many things to say about Love in California.

1. I have visited Los Angeles every summer since I have graduated High School. 

Why?

Because my Small Group leader in high school moved out there and her family has left an impact on me that will always keep a part of my heart in Castaic, CA with them. Not to mention their awesome church and its members have always shown me the love.

2. Even though there have been big changes in my life the past 5 years, it seems like I can go back to California and I'm still just Kaiti Marsh (no figurative baggage with me) and they love me. 

3. Throughout those 5 years, the idea of LOVE has been redefined many times through challenges, heartaches, victories, and people in my life. My defintions went a little something like this (in chronological order): Lovey Dovey Feelings--to-- language barrier breaker--to-- all you need to do is be a non-judgmental friend to everyone--to-- love is obeying and seeking Truth. And that is how this lovely tattoo evolved. I got a letter each time I went to CA, and it actually turned out to be an accurate portrayal of where my definitions of love have taken me in life.... 

4. While I love that the beach is 30 min away and the mountains are highway scenery, California has always been a life reflection retreat for me, because I can just BE with people who are family to me and look back at what the past year has brought me. And I must say I look forward to new love definitions in the future. 

5. So thanks to CA for being more than a Hollywood, housing some of my favorite people, and giving me a little free time to find a little piece of God's Love Puzzle.
