I'm running for president...

(sarcasm alert)
I thought I would start my campaign on  my blog.
Congratulations, you guys are the first to know that I have decided that Presidency should be for anyone and everyone of all ages!
Intellectual abilities, race, gender, citizenship, education, criminal background...These things are not requirements anymore and anyone can run for president!

If you say that I can't... you are hateful.

I am normally not to into the political happenings in our country, but a particular subject has been consuming my Facebook news feed and has been heavy on my heart: Same-Sex Marriage.

North Carolina's recent decision to not allow same-sex marriages is not about hating homosexuals or discriminating against them... It is about building our society on families. Where do families ORIGINATE (key word)? Men and Women. Better yet, Marriage between men and women.
The homosexual community has "civil unions" that were created in 1999 to ensure that they have the benefits that married couples have if they are committed to each other for life...
Yes, I think homosexuals can raise kids. But can homosexual families be included in the foundation (marriage) in which our families are based? No, because they cannot physically, biologically, naturally (WHATEVER you want to call it ) make families. This is why they are not qualified for marriage. Just like I am OBVIOUSLY not qualified for presidency.

There are certain guidelines we have for foundations in our country: marriage, presidency.. that are there for our benefit.. not to discriminate. The guidelines are there to give us the best society possible.

This is heavy on my heart, because I do not like to be hateful. To be called hateful for wanting the best for society and not just for the 1-2% of our population (homosexuals), is not fair. There are many homosexuals in my life that I love and I hope that they understand that this is not discrimination, but merely rules that will allow society as a whole to be built on the most fruitful child-producing relationship, between a man and a woman.
