God is bigger than the Boogie Man.

Oh how I love when people tell me how I feel. How I have resulted from a situation and what the psychological repercussions of my past will be. There have been studies conducted, by people such as Freud and Erickson, that have predicted human stages of development (general terms of what a childs/humans next level of maturity will be). And I believe that IN GENERAL those stages can be true. But, as I’ve grown up (just a little) I have seen and been a part of a multitude of different stories that have molded the lives of different people. And not every circumstance produces the same reaction from Humans. Not everyone is screwed up after a divorce, not everyone is 10x more serving after becoming a Christian, not everyone lives the expected life. By Golly ,that is one of the best parts about having the Lord in my life!!! He defeats the expected and unexpected. Allows me to live a life that’s unexpected, that defies the laws of psychology and the person the world thinks I should be. John 16:33 “I have told you these things that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world!” *Jesus tells the disciples this after he informs them of his future departure from the earth, and all of the persecution and pain they will face because of His Name. But how all of that pain will result in Joy one day!

Awwww yeaaahhhhhhh….. sure you can be logical and psychological about how things should be, but God is gonna show you WHAT’S UP EVERY TIME and show you something you never thought could be EVERY TIME. ALl out of his love for us. And sometimes for the sole purpose of makin' us eat one of those slightly bitter slices of humble pie!Yummmaaahhhh. That’s just one of the great and powerful and wonderful and awesome and mysterious things about JC.

  1. Wow! I know you are writing from you heart and not trying to impress anyone here but, this is your best entry yet as far as I am concerned. I'll definitely be quoting you in one of my talks or devotions from this blog!
